Timecrest App Reviews

Even better than the first!

I was big fan of the first chapter and was very excited when chapter 2 came out. As with the first chapter, I really like how small decisions that I make in the beginning of the game have effects towards the end of the game with small payoffs throughout making the storytelling very natural - unlike lifeline. Keep up the good work and I cant wait for more!

Annoying Glitch

(Spoilers ahead) Ive gotten to the part where the fire is spreading around Timecrest, and Elise says "I wish". Right after that, it stops. The story literally doesnt continue. I tried saving my game hoping it would fix it, but it didnt. I didnt want to reload and old save because my old one was too far back. Please fix.

Gets better each update

I like the music and the character art. The story is beautiful and emotional.

Awesome Game

Give Ash more spells, thats all.

Most perfect game ever

Ive finished it and now Im exploring the story and secret plots. This game is the best game I ever played and its perfect. The only thing I can suggest is that you make it possible to hear music from my phone while I play and I believe you could do that by making a button in the settings that disables all music. I am obsessed with your game and I would give it 1000 stars if I could. Thank you for making this masterpiece.

Great

Absolutely an amazing game. The story line is fun, and the options unique. My only critique is if you download it on a new device you have to start over from what I can tell. I recently got a new iPhone and had to start entirely over. Apart from this its well worth the play.

Interesting story, but...

I just got through Timecrest 1. I thought the storyline was interesting and had a lot of potential, but honestly, there didnt seem to be much there. I felt like I spent most of my time waiting around for him to do things. Its an interesting concept though, so I will be interested to see whats in store for me in the 2nd game.

Sigh.

I want to like this game. I do. I love "choose your own adventure" games. This one falls short, for me at least. Ill tell you what I like, and what I dont. I gave the game 3 stars because I know that it took a lot of work. I read a message on the game forum where the creators discussed the process and the time that it took them to get it right. I really want to give it 2. One star for creativity, and one star for length. Im on a 24 hour wait right now so I really cant say that it lacks length. Now. On a choose your own adventure game, I would like to be able to make choices. It was very frustrating to be given a choice, to pick one, then have the main character do what he wanted to do, which was not what I picked. Why did you give me the choice then? Also, Ash talks a lot. Its annoying. There is actually too much story, and in this format, its confusing. Last thing. I understand that you want to make money on the game. And I happily pay a few dollars towards developers who go above and beyond in gaming. But this game is rather shameless in trying to push you to buy currency to speed things up. Ash goes on a monologue. Text pops up for a minute straight. I am given the option to choose to ask what is essentially the same question written in two different ways (Ash does what he wants, I just get to ask "what do you see?" or "what happened?" occasionally. Then suddenly Im waiting for 8 hours while he investigates or walks. Im on a 24 hour wait now. Last night I left off at a 9 hour wait. Really? Its really a different game than Lifeline, but I appreciate that I pay once for that and other games in the series, then I dont have to pay again. So, there you have it. Im interested in the story, but the actual gameplay isnt very good. Im sure the developers will make improvements or tweak their next endeavor. Theres potential here, just please work on it, guys. **update** I came to the end today. It took about a month with daily playing and not paying a dime for time crystals. Im disappointed & lowering my review to 2/5 stars. Ash does what he wants - your choices dont seem to matter. He is extremely unlikeable as a main character. Theres a lot of whining & pouting. More dialogue than story. It just felt like a massive waste of time, literally (I spent the last 2 days on 4 hour waits between maybe 60 seconds of story progression).

Long waiting

I love this game to pieces. Great plot. Love the characters. A.C is bae. Elise is amazing. Roger is roger lol (I like making fun of him a lot) . And Riley is cool. And Ash is just awesome, I love him. But, theres a flaw. I hate waiting a long time. Also I want to add in that I can only really talk not that often. Ash just blabbers away, and I dont hardly make a choice. But guys, this is amazing. I just really love your game and keep up the great work. I just wanted to say my opinion on a couple of things to get it out of the way, but overall its practically my most interesting game Ive ever played yet. Actually no I take that back that was Noble Circle, SORRY

Okay

This app works very well with voiceover. The only complaint I really have is the frustration of having to constantly pay for time crystals.

Best app to ever exist

Now if only there were more sequels XD

Very good

This is a very good and interesting app but there is one thing I would like to see more of. Ways to earn time crystals.

PLEASE READ

This is such an awesome game! The gameplay is great, fun, and just awesome! Its complexity make it simply and truly a beautiful game! There are many ways to play, but simple for you to control! Although there are no graphics, the graphic descriptions make up for it! I never get tired of spending time with Ash! Rilash!!! (ship name for Riley and Ash)

Wow!!

Thanks for a grate update. it becomes more awesome and realistic. Cant wait for timecrest 3

favorite game ever!

out of all the games I have on my phone, this is the one that I play the most. It is actually my favorite game ever. Keep up the good work, and I cant wait to see what future releases have in store.

Cant finish what was started

Love the story, but I neither have the patience nor money to fund the completion of this adventure. I wish there werent interminably long wait times and impossibly expensive ways to enjoy this story. It would also help if there were more ways to earn time crystals and gold.

Its a lot better.

I like it a lot. I still think the waiting times are a little long though.

Such a great game

Still have not finished it but the story and choices are just simply amazing. In future games you should make a game where the choices you make effects the world around you. An idea

Wonderful, enriching.

A great story in its own right. Occasionally you feel like you could have done more or should have known better. Sometimes you dont know what you should have done or if what youve done was the right thing to do. A storically beautiful game, with a surprisingly great IAP system. Recommended.

Great story, but could take too long for some.

This really is a fine storyline, but some could be put off by how long they must wait in some cases for it to unfold. An example of this could be waiting 20 minutes while the main character moves in to get a closer view of the current situation with the result afterward of the feeling that only 30 seconds or so have passed rather than the 20 minutes mentioned before. Conversely, the timers are more often used to good effect with a 4 hour flight to reach a destination for example. Realtime shines at those points, making it seem like youre waiting for events to unfold. Beyond that, the app itself is well done. Voiceover support is top notch, right down to a sound being played when a viewer reaches the last message shown on screen. Even visual elements such as a hand-drawn map or character photo are very well explained to people with no vision, and I commend Sneaky Crab highly for this.
